What is a Spiritual Director?
A spiritual director is trained to listen, discern and ask artful questions about the spiritual life.
The goal of spiritual direction is to simply tend to the spiritual aspect of your being.
My greatest joy as a spiritual director is to create sacred spaces that can hold both the sorrows and joy we experience as we seek to make meaning of our lives.
Spiritual Directors usually meet with their "directee" once a month for an hour. A session can begin by reading a centering poem or scripture, listening to an inspirational song or simply sitting in silence. We can meet on ZOOM or in person if you live in the Durango area. The first meeting is complimentary to see if we would be a good fit.

I am certified in spiritual direction through the Stillpoint Center for Christian Spirituality. I am grounded in the Christian tradition and hold a Master of Arts in Religion from the Iliff School of Theology where I learned great respect for all the wisdom traditions. For over 25 years I have been participating in and leading spiritual formation programs in local churches.

I attend monthly meetings with my own spiritual director and I receive supervision by a Stillpoint trained supervisor. My highest goal is to show respect for the agency of my companions. I believe in the capacity of individuals to act independently and make thier own free choices.
